Like neighboring Puerto Banus, Nueva Andalucia traces its origins to Jose Banus, the legendary construction promoter from Madrid. He acquired the strip of land just north of Puerto Banus, now called Nueva Andalucía. Nueva Andalucia’s main infrastructure was built shortly after the iconic marina was completed in 1970. Since then, the area has experienced steady growth, from its inception until 1989, and then again just after the new millennium began.

The expansion of Nueva Andalucia has been well thought out and, as its name suggests, the architectural style of the villas and apartments was originally based on traditional Andalusian lines and forms.

Nueva Andalucia brings idyllic charm, tranquility and a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle. Perhaps the main attraction of Nueva Andalucia is its excellent connectivity. The neighborhood has quick and easy access to the A7 coastal highway, to the center of Marbella, to the prestigious Golden Mile and, of course, to neighboring Puerto Banús and its beaches, amenities (not least an El Corte Ingles department store, the second largest department store in the country) and nightlife, some of which are even within walking distance.
